Hoping someone might be able to identify what these are and whether I should leave them alone or rip them out? They’ve been rapidly popping up in the same spot over a week or so.

One of the orobanches likely. Australian Broomrape? A parasitic plant.

CIT PLANT SALE 2014 – THIS SATURDAY!
When: Saturday 15 November, 9am–4pm
Where: CIT Bruce, entrance off Eade Street

Pick up a great range of plants including seedlings, natives, shrubs, vegetables, flowers and trees, all prepared by the CIT horticulture students.

You can also bring your problem plants and questions – students will be on hand to give you garden advice.

All plants are offered at very reasonable prices, so bring your own box or wheelbarrow and stock up!
