Hi All,

I have a bit of a pickle to sort out, My work is having an XMAS party and we will be in Belconnen for the meal and we are looking for an team activity to do when we finish eating. Ideas like bowling and laser tag have been thrown forward and we are still deciding. Can anyone suggest an activity that a lot of folk will enjoy that is in Belconnen?

Carp makes good manure 🙂

Housie at the Labor Club?
Food fight at the Belco Food Markets?
Shopping trolley races in the car park at the Mall?

No good as i need an explosives permit which is no problem and a fishing licence which i have heard is difficult to get (Fishing Mafia?). And plus being an equal opportunity employer, we have be careful incase a fellow workmate turns out to be a fish worshipper and takes offence.

We did egg-and-spoon and sack race type kiddy games one year. It was good fun, and doesn’t matter much if people are sporty or overweight.

Jammo Pool!!!

I wanted that but some people would rather remain unseen in swimming attire. I said that they could swim with their shirts on but they (The modest massive) said no. I suspect it may end up as a drunken frisbee game in the park.

Jammo Pool!!!

There is, I believe, a laser tag type thing in Belconnen and a bowling alley (next to Mac Doodles). Or you could watch the amateur boxing at the Lighthouse 🙂

Zone 3 – good people and a good time, recommended

It will be for 35 people and we are open to just about anything….

Charlie’s Angels or Pretty Woman at Mitchell?

While i could probably get some of the folk from work to go, i dont think that it is the type of team activity i had in mind. Might be a bit pricey too and we have only about an hour and a half so we wont be having fun long time.

You could organise a “Super Session” at Intencity.

I think that would be a pretty cool work function.

Ride bread crates into the bowl at the skate park? Conveniently close to Sails… er.. Lighthouse.

Hire pushbikes and ride around the lake? I am pretty certain that there is a commercial hire group that could bring them to you.

Lawn Bowls is always good – I’ll leave the research bit to you

Been done, it was a lot of fun but we have done it already. We are looking at normal bowling but that seems a bit trite. I suspect we will end up at the Lighthouse but officially it is not a good look.

Ah Belconnen, for an area i would defend to the death you sure are lacking in fun.

It will be for 35 people and we are open to just about anything. I have lived in Belconnen for many years yet i am a bit stumped as to what is fun for a group to do there.

If you want to stay northside, I can’t help you..

but if you want to travel to the wilds of Tuggers we can offer;
Paintball (shooting the boss anyone :),

laser sports (outdoors) and

a range of catering options

Kieran (Adventure Paintball and Laser Sports)

How many people will there be?
