It’s warming up this weekend to overnight lows that (possibly) wont dip below 0, which is surely a good sign to get out and about to see what the Capital has to offer. (Note: we are not weather experts and do not guarantee temperatures in any way shape or form)

First, a few weekend picks from our team:

Josh is heading to the DMC World DJ Championships 2014 Canberra Heats
Friday 8th August
8pm – Transit Bar

John fancies the Short and Sweet Festival (10 minute plays from local and international writers)
Running at the Canberra Theatre until August 16th

Jess thinks the weather may be just right for a brisk hike up Mount Taylor (we’ll leave you to those energetic ventures Jess)

Samara thinks the Tradie for a Lady party hosted by 104.7 might be a good giggle
Friday 8th August

Emily is going to take her family along to the Tuggeranong Homestead Markets
Sunday 10th August 9am-2pm

Antony is heading down to Viking Park for the Rugby First Grade Grand Final on Saturday 9th August
Tuggeranong Vikings v Queanbeyan Whites (3.15pm kick off)

A couple of other ideas:

Making bread at home workshop
Canberra Environment Centre
YMCA Bush Capital Lodge
Saturday 9th August
10am – 1pm

Ice Hockey
Canberra Brave v Melbourne Mustangs
Phillip Swimming and Ice Skating Centre
Saturday 9th August
5.30pm

Fireside Festival
Lerida Estate Live Music
Sunday 10th August 7, 2014 12.30-3pm
