Where Art and Alcohol Collide

I followed my own advice and went along to have a look at the 2008 ANU Art Graduate Exhibition. At midday on Saturday, there was every indication that the grand opening the previous night had been quite a big affair – lots of bottles and glasses through the School of Art and almost nobody in attendance.

Unable to find anyone to ask about the photography rules or anything much; I gave myself permission to take photos but not the actual art.

The great thing about being in the Art School is it is sometimes difficult to tell where the art stops.

The exhibition is on until 14 December.

Artohol.

Personally, I loved the lemmings on the brick wall.

I should have titled this Where Art and Alcohol Collude.

Many of the more artistically ambiguous photos got culled while I was pondering how large an email would need to be before it bounced (I decided 34 snaps).

The real message seems to be that attending the opening night festivities will be much more fun and far better lubricated than early Saturday arvo.

maybe, poptop, this is the art??

Art and alcohol never collide; they collaborate.

Somehow, I think alcohol and art collide quite often.

Nice slideshow, those artists are clever buggers. To be able to think of those things, and then make them happen, is really impressive.
