Where do you go after rolling the Mawson Dominos? Mooseheads!

By johnboy - 10 August 2012 10

Justice Neild has still a little more to give with the Supreme Court today publishing the delightfully named R v Islam.

In it we learn of Mizanul Islam who somehow went from being supported by his parents to being supported by a wife (a trick I’d be keen to learn) without having any jobs except drinking, drugs, and aggravated robbery while on conditional liberty.

I particularly liked the bit where having liberated a few hundred dollars from the Mawson Dominos it was off to Mooseheads to start a fight.

He’s back amongst us around July 2014 unless Immigration can manage to chuck him out of the country.

What’s Your opinion?

Oh to be Henry BG, whether he’s real or not. Just for one day.

OK. Who the hell is Henry BG?

You haven’t been here for a while have you? Henry is a civilian version of Captain RAAF.

And JB, in terms of financial support, I think the thing you’re looking for is called a ‘husband’.

There. I was just politically questionable. And it feels good.

It is a totally gorgeous title for the case. I’ve been giggling, and trying to stop it, because it inadvertently refers to Serious Issues.

That’s the problem with being ‘nice’.

Great to have him locked up, would be even better to have him deported.

But, is it normal to spend three years remanded in custody before trial?

Well we are talking about the ACT justice system. No hurry we’ll get around to it eventually!

Yep, crime committed in 2008, tried in 2012. Bang! that’s the swift hand of justice for you!

5 years – sounds like a reasonable sentence.

JB, given his background it would not be farfetched to assume some arrangement that ensured his marriage – albeit an unconventional arrangement even by arranged marriage standards.

I give it 0.8 seconds before the ‘Concerned Citizens’ jump on this one.
