Where does your nanna get her hair done?

I’m looking for a hairdresser that won’t freak out at me asking them to do old-fashioned haircuts and shampoo-and-sets as done in the 1940s and 1950s. I’ve been to quite a few of the more highly recommended hairdressers around the ACT and NONE of them has ever managed to get things right – they always want to add trendy modern things or never really understood that when I say I want my fringe and layers cut in a very specific way, I really do mean it, and I do in fact want granny curls brush styled, not a body wave.

So I’d like to know where the 70+ age group gets their hair done. I know many mature ladies have gone the Judi Dench/Margaret Pomeranz route with the short crop, but there are still some who go with the curl set. Where are they getting their styling done? Or does anyone know of a hairdresser who is themselves older and would have originally been trained in these techniques? Or a younger hairdresser who has genuine vintage nous? Any pointers greatly appreciated. Thanks!
