Where is Ross Solley?

I really enjoy Ross Solley on 666 breakfast? Where is he?

I am going to have to go back to cd music and only turn the radio on the for the news unless he or another interesting presenter comes on.

And while I am talking about the breakfast show, any reduction on Rugby news would be great.

I think these comments are Hilarious. I think if you don’t like Ross Solley listen to radio national or something. I generally like his music and I think 1975 was a great year for music.

Music? For me, mornings are about getting informed, not entertained.

Yeah, because Radio National has lots of local news and information…

Any one who likes Ross Solly has obviously forgotten how great Chris and David were. 😉

No! News Radio 103.9MHz ROCKS.

I think these comments are Hilarious. I think if you don’t like Ross Solley listen to radio national or something. I generally like his music and I think 1975 was a great year for music. The butcher is way to much like a real person from Queenbeyan that everybody knows… For me – in the 35 to 45 year old age group he keeps me entertained and informed. I can understand that he comes across as a little crude at times but I cant imagine anybody else being able to make my laugh on the drive to work. The new guy in a OK but a little monotone and boring.

Bitten by Griffie, the Lake Burley Griffin Monster, and turned into a zombie. Don’t let him get within biting, reaching or clawing distance or he will drag you back to Griffie’s underwater lair to spend eternity as a watery zombie slave.

Ross has often made me cringe since I moved to Canberra but I kept the clock radio tuned to 666 because the cringe factor really motivated me to get out of bed quickly after the 6 am news. Now after nearly 3 years, I’ve kinda warmed to him a little. The new ‘temp’ guy is less awkward and corny but he is very very dull.

i thought he was the only one who referred to the audience in the singular

Phillip Adams (Late Night Live) also refers to his audience in the singular (Gladys). Unfortunately I think that is about the only similarity the Ross and Phillip share.

leave ross alone, you naysayers – he is a geelong fan, after all… 😉

i thought he was the only one who refered to the audience in the singular – ‘our listener’ – until i heard louse maher this week do likewise. is this a canberra abc thing, just these two muppets, or more common? [quietly, i think i almost like it…]

Let’s see. According to his work, he’s overseas, but according to Solley, he’s in Perth.

That’s an easy mistake to make, especially when it was Foreign Minister Stephen Smith who was called upon to make a comment when Julia Gillard came close to being egged in the foreign western state.

Tom and Alex on Triple J aren’t funny, and they don’t play good music.

FIFY

I turned off the J’s years ago when they changed from alternative to mainstream posing as alternative and lost all the entertaining presenters.

Triple R all the way.

I heard he was in jail

Change is scary, isn’t it?

Ross Solley is off the air? Finally, I can listen to 666 again.

+1

Most of the weekday 666 roster leaves a bit to be desired.

I really like Ross Solly. Been missing him in the last couple of weeks. Glad to hear he’s back next week. I don’t mind the temporary bloke but he can’t stand up to Ross.

The guy they’ve got covering for him at the moment is a distinct improvement. Unfortunately he’s only on holiday, so it’ll be back to normal in a week or two.

Also it’s spelled “Solly”.

Gahh! What do people see in this muppet!?!?!

I regularly cringe when listening to Ross. I’m always finishing his sentences for him while we listen to his brain tick over. He’s absolutely terrible at the “aggressive questioning” thing. He plays awful music and he talks about gronk sports far too much. He can stay on holidays for all I care.

I was considering writing to the ABC to request that they keep John Morrison! Aside from a few panel operating issues he’s been excellent. Unhesitating, coherent, concise, engaged…

I think the temporary bloke is fine.

On holiday.

Tom and Alex on Triple J are great, and they don’t play old music!

I assume hes on holidays, right, its school hols

Let’s see. According to his work, he’s overseas, but according to Solley, he’s in Perth.

I think he is just on holidays, pretty sure he is back next week. I am missing him too the replacement guy is really boring

He’s on holiday for a few weeks

I’m quite happy that he’s away and am enjoying the gibber-free breakfast radio on 666 in his absence. And, there’s no such thing as too much rugby news.
