Where is the Complete Garden Going?

I have been going to the Complete Garden in Fyshwick for the past 5 or 6 years now. Pick up a few things for the garden, or presents for my folks / grand parents; then head into the Burning Log to check out the BBQs – but now they are moving.

They are selling everything at 50% off (sometimes more) which ends then the doors close at the end of this month (Sun 31st Jul 11). Then reopening in mid to late September in a new ‘classified’ location – but none of the staff can tell me where?

Does anyone know where they are moving to?

…No fertiliserS on site. The only time I got asked for photo ID was when the signature on my credit card had warn off. To be honest I was quite pleased that they asked – Most places don’t even check.

Entirely reasonable, and I agree.

Thing is, the three times I’ve bought garden paraphernalia from the store, I’ve been asked to hand over the photo identification equivalent of my first born.

And i paid cold, hard, cash dollar money on Every. Single. Occasion.

Raven, the policy sucks, so if you have any sway with management -winkwink- perhaps you could let them know.

Cheers.

Photo ID to buy something?! WTF?

My guess is they require photo ID to buy some brands of fertiliser, as they can be used to make bombs apparently.

I bought a few misc – never had a photo ID request…

I guess being located opposite a gay beat was getting them down . . .

I’m not surprised they won’t tell anyone where they’re going.

These are the clowns that compel buyers to provide photo identification prior to purchasing anything.

Clearly they’re taking paranoia to new heights.
