Where to buy (wine) grapevines?

Hey all,

For the past few years I’ve been able to get some wine grapevines (not their table grape cousins!) at a decent price – even if the vines themselves weren’t the best quality cuttings – from Bunnings in Tuggeranong, but this year Bunnings do not appear to be stocking them (probably a blessing, really…).

Now that we’re actually building a proper trellis in the backyard, I was wondering if anyone knew of any good nurseries that stock wine grapewines, especially any of the lesser known varieties?

Any help/info is much appreciated!

Give Ken Helm a call at Murrumbateman. He’s a most accommodating fella and he may even have a few cuttings underway or he will know someone who does.

you could try an online nursery:

I bought a coffee tree from them a year or so ago, no problems at all. The demise of the coffee tree was totally unrelated to them.

You could try ringing up a local winery and see if they can help with suggestions on where to order from. After Cup Day, though.
