The Canberra Raiders are celebrating their own turn picking the carcass of the disgraced Melbourne Storm.

Our bite at the corpse has netted prop Brett White:

Raiders Coach David Furner said the club was looking forward to having an experienced player like White join the Raiders for three years and said he will bring many qualities with him both on and off the field.

“It’s a great signing for the club,” Furner said. “Brett is an experienced player who has played in Grand Finals and State of Origin and he’s also a Cooma native so we’re excited to secure him for three years.

“Brett’s shown he’s keen to come back to his local region and that’s important for the club and I know he’s looking forward to putting on the green jumper,” he said.

Someone better tell them that getting a player from the Storm won’t mean that they will become a serious premiership contender..

Maybe if they got Cam Smith and Cooper Cronk?

Thumper, that never gets old…

Haha, you guys thought Carney was bad, wait until Whitey hits the town with a gut full.

I guarantee he hasn’t changed since high school!

More importantly (for me anyway) Greg Inglis is off to the Broncos. Woo hoo!
