Who is the new Civic doctor?

NeedHelp 31 August 2010 4

About three weeks ago, a doctor advertised as “taking new patients” in the Civic area. This is a rare thing, and I would like to take up this opportunity, as I’m tired of waiting for my doctor of 14 years, to actually make it on time for my booked appointments. I’m often left waiting for 2 or 3 hours with child in tow. This in unacceptable, particularly for a booked appointment.

Anyway, there was an advertisement in either the Chronicle or Canberra Times; I can’t recall, calling for new patients, for a doctor in a high-rise building in Civic. That’s all I remember about the advertisement, and now, unfortunately I can’t find the article.

Does anyone know the name of the doctor please?

I’ve read this thread, but thought I’d post a new one.

Thank you!

Thanks all.

That’s it! Thanks Roguelette. The City Family Practice rings a huge bell. I’ll call them tomorrow.

The ‘City Family Practice’ is located in high-rise and while I was getting the Rogueling vaccinated there this morning I noticed a new Doctor (though it has been a while since our last visit so I am not sure exactly how new he is).

This might be the place you are looking for. I don’t know the new Doctor’s name, but I am sure that the receptionists there would be happy to help you out.

Where do you live? the west belco health coop is really good. Great doc, generally on time, can always get an appt on the day if need be.

That’s unusual, because I’m sure doctors were banned from advertising anything other than their location and contact details. But it appears I was wrong; the law must have changed.
