Heh, I just grabbed a giant stack of L’s and P’s from a NSW RTA Office. Mine went missing every now and then, it was just easier to grab the stack and sticker out the speed limit on the plate! Even then, going in to a shopfront, you can just ask and they normally hand over a couple!

I’d say thats a prank more than getting caught out without L plates.

Having said that, you’d be surprised at the number of plates that were stolen off my car when displaying Ls and Ps, the plastic/cardboard ones too.
