So true. That line was gold.

It is a great line. So it’s a shame that John Jarratt totally stuffed up the timing in last night’s performance.

I couldn’t really decide if Jarratt was good or not. I think he was the least convincing of the four performers. Although, to be fair, I kept comparing him to Jack Thompson who was superb in the movie, so I am probably too critical.

Patrick Harvey in the son’s role was pretty good. The supporting cast were okay, but really it was the strength of the script that saved the show.

Thanks to RA for the tickets too!

Best line in any movie ever is when Dad (Jack Tohmpson) sits down with son (Russell Crowe) & boyfriend (no idea who that was) to have a beer & toasts with “Well, up yer bum…..”.

John Polson, he of Tropfest fame.

+1 – I thought the performance was great. You were there too HC?
