The guys that do Tough Mudder put on some turn out – I agree, but if you want to travel to Gosford (or where ever they do it) get all hyped and wait 45 minutes to go over an obstacle, run 1km and then wait another 45 minutes to go over the next obstacle (and do this 20 times) and pay upwards of upwards of $180 per entry for it then knock your socks off 🙂

The Beastworx guys are raising funds for SoldierOn and don’t muck around with putting on a good event so I think you will be surprised . Plus its going to be a race in the Obstacle Course Racing League – it needs to fit the bill.

Rumor has it this is going to be one epic affair. These guys are building a permanent Obstacle Course at Caloola Farm – which is just south of Tharwa – the first of its kind for Canberra.

The race is also going to be part of the Obstacle Course Racing League which means some top notch athletes will be treking down to Canberra at the end of the year.

A mate of mine did their MTB race last year (which is on again this year as well) and they put on some turnout – so expect a well run, safe but fun event. Canberra needs something like the “Call of the Beast” to get its office cubical dwelling uptights out to have some fun!

I thought this post was going to be advertising a radio job at 666….! Hahahaha!

Jesus, I spent most of my youth doing stuff like that for a living and at its best it was a hard day in the office. I can’t believe people would do this for fun.

Anyway, they had a meter of rain up at Tully a couple of weeks ago. Plenty of mud to be found there for anyone who wants it. 🙂
