Why I love Canberra in Autumn

High key photograph of autumnal maple leaves against bright sky

Oh OK … it’s Autumn and all the leaves are coloured and the air’s turning crisp and photographers are out taking pictures – as they do. I thought I’d share this one because the way the light has literally ‘infused’ the leaves and brought out some spectacluar colours. Canberra expresses it’s seasons so emphatically. I know we largely recognise four but I understand that those more in touch with place we call home recognise six(?) … more than four anyways.

Shot looking straight up against a bright overcast sky with a Lensbaby 3G. I liked it and it reminded me of why I love the light in Autumn.

Beautiful!

What a beautiful photo. Thanks 🙂

Very clever photo, lovely colours. What are the other two seasons? Warm autumn/cold autumn (we’re heading into that now), and the same with Spring?

I wish to whinge.

Why doesn’t anyone know what deciduous means, as in deciduous trees?
The moment I mentioned it people look at me weird.

Oh, you mean flaming trees!

Thanks Cold Chisel
