Wild weekend in Weston

ACT Policing is calling for witnesses to multiple reports of property damage in Weston over the weekend.

The incidents occurred between 11.30pm Saturday 21 July and 4.00am Sunday 22 July.

Damage included a burnt out wheelie bin and broken window on Buvelot Street; a smashed bird bath on Withers Street; damage and theft of letterboxes on Souter Place and property stolen from a motor vehicle on Chevalier Street.

ACT Policing Forensics is currently processing evidence from the scene.

Anyone who may have witnessed the damage is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or via the website at www.act.crimestoppers.com.au. Information can be provided anonymously.

Well they didn’t see anything, that’s for sure. So at best, they responded too late.

I agree.
They smashed my car window which cost a motherload to replace on my car. They had obviously pulled it off and thrown it across to the other side of the road so there’d be fingerprints on it for sure. I took it in and asked for them to check it for prints or something and they just couldn’t be bothered. Obviously it must be some cop’s family who got their bird bath knocked over.

Only real chance of anything being done about it though is if they were speeding away at the time. If they drove at the speed limit, nobody would care. There’s no revenue in it.

If the cops don’t solve this one there’ll be hell to pay…

This case is about to be busted wide open. Local real estate agents have been paying thugs to terrorise weston in an attempt to make molonglo look attractive and worth the money.
