ACT Policing has arrested a 25-year-old Rivett woman following a pursuit last night (Sunday, March 24).

Around 7.20pm Woden police were on patrol in Rivett when they attempted a traffic stop on a Mitsubishi Lancer on Hindmarsh Drive.

The vehicle failed to stop and a pursuit was initiated continuing through Weston, towards the rural areas of Cotter Dam.

The car turned onto a road which is currently under construction and came to a stop.

The car then reversed into the marked police car behind it causing minor damage to both vehicles.

Police arrested the woman and took her to Woden Station where she refused to provide a breath sample for analysis.

The pursuit reached a maximum speed of 115km/h in an 80km/h zone and lasted for 14 minutes.

The woman was conveyed to the ACT Watch House where she was charged with several traffic offences including driving unlicensed, driving an unregistered and uninsured vehicle and furious and reckless driving.

She will face the ACT Magistrates Court this morning.

yes, in Canberra you don’t even have to make an effort to get bail .. just turn up shoeless and in your pyjamas.

Indeed and i love the choice singlet/top thingy, hmm at least she wouldn’t need airbags in her car!
