Australians are all too familiar with heatwaves, droughts and floods. These events have increased over recent decades and this trend is likely to continue.
But given Australia’s natural climate variations, how much is this increase linked to human interference in the climate system? And what effect will the amount and rate of greenhouse gas emissions be on the frequency and intensity of Australia’s extreme weather? In this talk, Dr Lisa Alexander will discuss these questions and more.
