You say it like its a bad thing. 95% of Hawker is just like Weetangera and it is the 5% who are bringing it down. However, i am not saying that all of the people who live in the flats are bad, most of the residents are hard working, normal people who just happen to be unlucky enough to live with assholes in their midst….

When I first moved into the area and I drove past those flats for the first time, even before I was told I could just see it was a slum in the making. Old multi level flats in close proximity, it just screams government housing.

I thought they abandoned the policy of plonking them all in one place.

Ah, the old Hoodie and Adidias trackies combo. They should just arrest anyone who dresses like that. After all, if they haven’t already committed a crime then they are on their way to commit one.

They’ve already committed a crime against fashion. That should be enough.

If Florey is the new Charnie, then Hawker is the new Florey- who’s next to step up? Page has been suspiciously quiet.

Wow, how many junkies are there in Hawker?

If the Hawker community approved the redevelopment of the group centre which would bring residents in and more shopping, it may stop businesses being rolled with increased social surveillance.

Or it will create more businesses to be robbed and create an urban cesspit of many more guvvy flats in an otherwise nice area.

Oh come now. The guvvies are what keep Hawker real. If they weren’t there, Hawker would become one of those annoyingly snobbish suburbs. Like Weetangera.
