Are you a fan of Dave Hughes?

Fancy a free double pass to see him on Friday night?

Just tell us about your favourite Hughesy moment. Whether it be a joke, a situation, a moment on TV, or a comeback to a heckler – share it in the comments, give us all a good laugh and you’ll be in the running for one of two double passes.

Get in before COB Thursday when we’ll draw the winners.

David Hughes is at the Royal Theatre on Friday 4th July at 7.30pm.

I liked it when Kyle Sanilands my hero threatened to punch him in the neck and do a 3 month stint!

Yeah, I could definately see Kyle Sandilands doing a rabbit punch, no way he could stand and fight like a man.

I like his laid back sense of humour and the fact he doesn’t take himself too seriously!

Pick me, I think he’s funny. But then again I am very low brow. Obviously not as intellectual as the other responders.

Maybe I was a little harsh in bagging Dave Hughes. I used to like him very much, also Mick Molloy and Tony Martin on FM radio. I could never take to much of Corrine Grant and Will Anderson is no longer watched in our house after he arrogantly smoked a joint on TV.
The problem is that these people were “in” 20 years ago and people change as they age.
Twenty years ago we used to identify with jokes about the elderly. Now we are the elderly the jokes are not so funny.
If Hughes and co. would start making jokes about the Y generation they might get some fans back.

Oh God there are so many………

He and Mick Molloy did a massive stint together on Nova and come up with the Nova Gift which was full of laughs in the lead up:

I used to love all of his older stuff especially the dead pan skits of his early days where he would come out and appear totally stone faced while he did his gig.

I alsu used to love him, Will Anderson and Corrynne Grant in the Glasshouse. Great show that was a bit of a hightlight on a Friday night of football borningness:

Best Hughsey moment… 2007 Logies when he called Kyle Sandilands a D…head!!

Start of a wonderful war of words for years.

That was simply a peer review.

My favourite Hughsey moment will be when he retires. He has well passed his “best before date”.
If you were having a second prize it would be two double passes.
You did ask the question.

I liked it when he retired from tv.
