After a lovely still early morning the weather’s turned mean with the Bureau of Meteorology issuing warnings:

    Warning Summary at issue time:
Small Boat Alert for Canberra Lakes. Severe Weather Warning for Damaging Winds above 1200m.

Current Weather Situation and Future Developments
A cold front will cross the ACT today bringing windy conditions with the chance of some isolated showers. The showers will be more frequent over the western ranges and will fall as snow over the higher ground. A ridge of high pressure will bring a return to fine conditions on Saturday, although a cold and frosty morning is expected. There is the slight chance of a shower on Sunday as another front passes to the south, and then some unstable conditions may produce a shower or two during the middle of next week.

Ah – but what a beautiful weekend it was!

Yes it was camped on the side of Twofold Bay 🙂

Ah – but what a beautiful weekend it was!

bring on the wind! I wanna crack out my stunt kites!

Glad to have avoided riding today on the strength of these predictions

Had a wind on the nose 15 to 25 km each way this week..

the sudden drop in temp at 12.30 was a big surprise. one minute, 12c, the next, 8.6c. and the rain made it like a refridgerator blast outside.

if this is the last gasp of winter, please make it stop?

I have to admit, it really hasnt been a cold winter. 5 degrees last night, normally thats minus 5.

It would have felt more like burgeoning spring if it wasn’t so windy today.
