LOST DRUNK MAKES BAD MOVE

CANBERRA — A drunk driver 100 metres from Australia’s iconic giant monolith once known as Ayers Rock stopped police to ask the way to the 345-metre-high rock.

The headlights of the man’s car were actually shining on Uluru, which has a 9.4-km circumference, police said.

The 44-year-old man, whose car was also towing an aluminum boat, has been charged with drunk driving and unlicensed driving.

Uluru! Tops! That’ll look great on the mantlepiece next to Goulburn and Monaro.

I can see what you mean … the story above follows the same pattern … Dateline Berlin, story about Frankfurt … while the story below gives the location of the event, not the filing agency.

I thought that too Ari until I looked at the Winnipeg Sun Story which, by mixing dateline’s does seem to confuse the issue.

An absolute brainiac, Sssanta, soon to be diminished by some amber fluid.

You must be smarter than you look Ari.

It’s known as a dateline and it simply signifies where the story was filed from.
