Winter Night Markets
Commonwealth Place will come alive for three mid-winter evenings with stalls selling gourmet food and wines, local produce, arts, crafts and jewellery and live entertainment to warm the body and soul.
Thursday will feature Live music from leading jazz band the Mike Price Trio and freestyle music from local DJs.
Friday will see the ANU College of Science students bringing their own form of fun to the Winter Night Markets with liquid nitrogen ice-cream along with the opportunity for people to extract the DNA sequence from strawberries.
Saturday evening will incorporate the Winter Warming Wine Toast record attempt hosted by the ACT Urban Wine Trail.
These are just some of the fun activities that will be held over the three evenings – there are plenty of reasons to come down and enjoy the markets with more than 30 stalls beside the lake selling hot spiced cider, mulled wine and lots of delicious food and local produce including arts, crafts and jewellery.
