Kazza the blank one has sent in this excellent advice seen in Belconnen.

Several people I know have almost simultaneously been diagnosed with vitamin D deficiency. One is a 50-ish ex-surfer with a lot of skin problems. He now avoids the sun at all costs, but a bit too late. His doctor advised him that VItamin D deficiencey is becoming common (particularly in older people) as a result of slip-slop-slap. In other words, everybody is avoiding the sun like the plague, or like cliches, hence the absence of Vitamin D production in their bodies.

The law of unintended consequences, I guess.

..as a result of slip slop slap?

And Hi-Vis amplifies the rays no end.

and use sunblock

Using sunblock actually interferes with vitamin D production…
Ironically, so does drinking too much alcohol 🙂

+1 to don’t drink and drive though
