ACT Policing is seeking information from the public after a vehicle fled from police during a routine traffic stop yesterday (Sunday, 15 March 2015).
Around 11:45am yesterday, police attempted to perform a traffic stop on a white Nissan Pulsar in Belconnen. The driver failed to stop for police, and a pursuit commenced.
The vehicle fled through the suburbs of Hawker, Page and Scullin with the pursuit lasting two minutes 45 seconds before being terminated by police.
Officer in Charge of Belconnen Police Station, Station Sergeant Greg O’Ryan, said the type of behaviour from the driver is not acceptable.
“ACT Policing and the Canberra community do not tolerate this kind of dangerous driving on ACT roads. We’re calling on the public to assist us in identifying the driver of the vehicle,” Station Sergeant O’Ryan said.
Police are urging anyone with information about the white Nissan Pulsar, which fled from police to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or vianhttps://act.crimestoppers.com.au.
