Apparently a large scale gas leak has lead to the evacuation and locking down of Woden Plaza.

No problem. I didn’t know much so wasn’t able to add anything else. I probably should of tried for a more complete post. (I must admit to assuming others had beaten me to it)

sorry bout that tempestas. Wasn’t sure if you were still working on it & have been known to jump the gun before by publishing drafts before they are finished.

I did submit this Friday pm. The eds were no doubt busy elsewhere. Glad to see it got resolved/explained though

Not a gas leak. Ended up being smelly cooking fat

VNBerlina etc – yup. On average (although I revise it every time I drive to Kambah Village). I’ll just have to assume the people trying to make barbie items of all of us were from Queanbeyan.

Its woden

You mean you ever did?

I arrived there on other business at about the hour. Heard the sirens. Got a SMS about him from an acquaintance.

The impressive, truly impressive, thing would have been the number of people who left because of a gas leak that could be smelt across the road, but decided the stress was such that they immediately needed to light up. Maybe I’m wrong, but at least some gases burn and explode in the presence of fire. The folk who took issue with the coppers not letting them in, or discouraging them from parking underneath, where apparently the smell was pretty strong, would have been a close second. I’ll never think Canberrans are smart again.

Perhaps if all the people that wondered that actually submitted the story, it would have been on sooner.

I for one had no idea it had happened.

Was wondering when this would finally appear on RA…

Friday afternoon between 2:30 and 4:30 actually.

Wasn’t that yesterday?
