Woman to face court for attacking 83-year-old woman in supermarket

A 34-year-old woman will face the ACT Magistrate’s Court today (8 February) after pushing an elderly woman over in Dickson Woolworths earlier this week.

On Wednesday (6 February), the woman allegedly pushed the 83-year-old over in a Dickson supermarket, causing the woman to be taken to hospital where she required emergency treatment.

The Lyneham woman was identified from CCTV footage and was located and arrested yesterday.

The woman has also been charged with possessing a prohibited substance and recklessly inflicting grievous bodily harm.

Police urge anyone who witnessed this incident, or who may have any information that could assist police to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via the Crime Stoppers ACT website.
