Joy Burch is reminding people that her massive imposition on the community in the form of vulnerable people checks is rumbling on and you don’t have long to get it done:

More than 18,500 Working with Vulnerable People Checks have now been completed since the registration process commenced, and Canberrans who work or volunteer with children in regulated activities or services are reminded they need to be registered by November.

The Working with Vulnerable People Checks provide for statutory background checking and risk assessment checks to reduce the incidence of sexual, physical, emotional or financial harm or neglect of vulnerable people in the ACT.

ACT Minister for Children and young People Joy Burch is today reminding Canberrans to register as soon as possible if they work with children in a paid or volunteering role.
