World Naked Bike Ride 2010 was surreal but immense fun today the Canberra part of the operation is calling for help:

Peacefully expose the vulnerability of cyclists, humanity and nature in the face of cars, aggression, consumerism and non-renewable energy.

WNBR Canberra needs people willing to help organise it. The leading 2010 Organisers have pressing personal commitments which will prohibit them performing the same role in 2011. You need to step foward if you want to see it happen agian in 2011.
See the organising page here:

Please suggest a date time and place for the next organising meeting! Post it to the wall with enthusiasm!

If you want to support the ride, but don’t want to actually ride, you are welcome to help with organising the ride, bodypainting on the day, providing water/drinks halfway through the ride and so much more check out http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=365865115726 which is our organising page. Anything you can do to help… HELPS!

Can motorcyclists and pedestrians join in as we are all vulnerable. March is a bit chilly though.

“Peacefully expose the vulnerability of cyclists, humanity and nature in the face of cars, aggression, consumerism and non-renewable energy.”

Cyclists, humanity and nature? That’s really going from the specific to the general in one short step, innit? And after humanity and nature, what else is left to be exposed as vulnerable?

When you look at the pics the naked ones are mostly blokes with absolutely disgraceful bodies.

What’s going on with that?

What a farce, they claim to be naked to “shock” people into taking notice, but when they rolled past the Wheels show last year there was not one naked person.

At least they won’t be wearing lycra?
