The Canberra Half Ironman website is reporting here that Canberra local Michelle Wu took out the overall female title in her first ever half Ironman. Competing in the 18-24 age group she finished in a time of 4 hours 44 min & 26 second she was 6 minutes ahead of her nearest rival, professional Amelia Pearson.
In the blokes race David Dellow won in 4 hours 8 minutes.
Wu is an Olympic hopeful and it looks like we may be hearing more of her name in the future.
