Yass gets new substation, but no wind farm.

By Thumper - 28 April 2006 1

As I have previously posted, Lake George appears to be on course for a wind farm. As I also pointed out, Yass would be much more suited to such a venture.

However, the ABC website has just informed me that a $45 million substation has opened at Yass.

Which beggars the question, if we need so much power in the surrounding districts, then why sell off the Snowy Hydro scheme?

Well now you know why anyone would want to buy it 😉

But seriously industrial use is the main game anyway.
