You tell me!! Do males and females have different motivations for sex?

Hi, I am an ANU psych honours student and have two weeks to collect hundreds of completed online surveys for my thesis. Please consider spending 30-35min completing “The Personality and Sexuality Survey” at the website below – its thought provoking and NOT at all dull! It will challenge you to think about your personality and what motivations you to express your sexuality.

The information will be written up as a fourth year honours psychology thesis and the responses are completely annoymous. People are free to withdraw from the survey at any stage and data will not be stored until the ‘submit’ button is clicked at the end of the survey.

The survey has been launched at the following address:
https://apollo.anu.edu.au/default.asp?pid=2258

Participants must be over the age of 18. And I have gained Human Ethics approval.

Thank you all kindly! Rsearcher

I found my various personalities fighting each other during the survey – I thought it was thought provoking, no I thought it was fun, no, I thought it was {%$#$*&} – Were we doing a survey?

was just about to post that, thumper!

will do survey, researcher… ; )

Awesome!

Rsearcher again in response to Misunderstood. Sorry, I can’t post the debrief blurb on this thread because it will influence the results of people who may fill out the survey.

I am really more than happy to respond personally to comments etc if emailed to me and forward the blurb – the least I can do for those who have spent the time completing the survey..

I found it interesting. I’ll find the results more interesting.

I did some of it but got bored, because most of the time I was clicking ‘disagree’. I doubt my results would help much anyway.

Rsearcher – could you perhaps post the blurb (if it is not too long) on this comments thread?

It might save us curious RiotAct bloggers from inundating your e-mail inbox with requests for more info about your survey….

Interesting survey but that seems like a pretty cynical/jaded view of sex and relationships.

Hi there,

Thanks to all who have participated – I assure you the responses are coming through even if it looks like its not loading properly!

Just to clarify – I have posted on many sites to try and get a good sample of different people. And I usrf paper surveys through uni – but its very time consuming trying to chase them to be returned/posted!!

In fact I have had twice as many online responses in 24 hours than I have had in 2 months of chasing paper surveys. I’m not last minute – just trying to bolster my numbers and ensure I have enough data to make it all worth the effort.

Thanks again for people who have partipated! Sorry if you found it boring, though others have found it very thought-provoking.

And if anyone is interested, email me and i’ll send you the debrief blurb about what the study is all about!!

Left your run a little late, haven’t you?

H2B – could’ve tried harder and been better organised.

Poor sampling method.

I did it, it took ages, I clicked the submit button and it won’t load. Bah. Too bad.

try this, and good luck with your study!

I did it. Long, boring, repetitive and incredibly difficult for someone like me to answer. So I may skew your results 🙂
