The Liberals have announced that the very young Andrew Heath (24 IIRC) has been plucked from the widely reviled Gary Nairn’s office to try and herd the cats of the Liberal Party away from electoral oblivion in the Federal and ACT elections.

We suppose he’s fortunate in that with the circumstances he inherits anything short of total annihilation can count as good work on his part.

Mr Heath only just missed April Fool’s day, starting as he does on 2 April 2007. Is there a message in this?

More significantly, is this the tactical equivalent of a Latham, or will the man be able to actually achieve something?

Hope allthose Libs and disgruntled Labor voters vote for the Greens. Or we will get 4 more years of Stanhope
