Would anybody know the name or contact for the young kid (about 10 y.o.) that occasionally busks with his electric guitar outside the Canberra Centre. His dad is usually there with him somewhere. thx

@Masquara. Agree. In any case, my son is about the same age and plays drums. He wants to learn a few songs with someone his age and the kid that we saw plays well.

and i am sure you would be thrilled if random adults attempted to contact him…

Unlikely. Joking about the post was briefly amusing, but it’s clear that postgrowthworld was not in fact planning anything nefarious. No need to turn the banter into anything serious here.

So true, if someone on the interwebs claims they are innocent, you should believe them…

No, I’m saying that turning a post that has been clearly explained into a serious accusation is not cool. The initial responses were banter – you’re turning it into nasty inferences.

Yes. A perfectly understandable reaction to my query. While I may have problems tracking down this talented young musician, it’s reassuring to know that at some stage in the future, should I develop a preference for kiddies, I can readily consult the pin-d**ked vermin on this thread for some first-hand, networking advice.

Ah, see we were unsure before but /now/ you seem perfectly polite, reasonable and classy. Just the kind of person everyone would want around their kids. Someone give the number.

Brilliant.

Actually, there’s a few posts on this thread way creepier than anything the OP wrote.

Happy to help, shall we meet in your garage, with all the other 10yo boys for a ‘jamming’ session?

And not a pitchka to be seen anywhere….

I loved that reply 😀

I’m advised enquiries for the busker can be directed to PO Box 401 Canberra City ACT 2602

I’m sure the AFP would welcome the OP with open arms…

Shhhh!

A few words about posting on this and other forums. Make it clear early in your post exactly what you are seeking. For example: “My young son is a musician who plays drums and he is interested in jamming with the young fellow who busks with his father outside the Canberra Centre”. That way you won’t get people jumping to conclusions and forming the wrong impression.

I’d suggest place like Canberra youth music, the local youth centre, music for everyone. Probably a whole safer than approaching kids busking on the street

Perhaps you should have worded this in terms of identifying and contacting the dad rather than the kid?

Come now rioters it’s plainly obvious that the OP is merely a talent scout….

Have a think about your request combined with your username.

Blimey, where do you even begin with this one?

That’s not only creepy it’s more than a little disturbing. Anyone with the incredibly low intelligence to ask a question like that needs to be flogged with a wet boot lace, just for starters.
Go belt yourself with a large piece of timber & report to the police as a person of highly questionable moral standards.

sounds legit…

No adult with common sense is going to give you details of the kid over the internet. If his dad is usually there, then approach the dad. Or are you looking to bypass the guardian?

MonarchRepublic9:45 am 12 Mar 14

No context as to why you want these details? Makes this just feel creepy…

Without stating why you want such information, this post can only be viewed as incredibly creepy.

ScienceRules9:21 am 12 Mar 14

A perfectly reasonable and not at all creepy request. Have at it, Rioters…
