As Christmas fast approaches, the hunt for the ultimate venue to host the season’s parties and festivities begins.

Well look no further than Thoroughbred Park in Canberra.

Marketing and sponsorship manager Robbie Ringland said it was the perfect place to celebrate any event.

“I may be biased, but I don’t think there’s a better place in Canberra to have a Christmas party,” Robbie said.

“And, our obvious point of difference is the horses. Thoroughbreds are such regal and beautiful athletes, and at full flight they create an atmosphere like nothing else.”

Robbie said Thoroughbred Park offered something for everyone – catering to corporate, private and community groups looking for a place to host their next event.

“We’ve got unique indoor and outdoor spaces set amongst green grounds with a picturesque race track at the front and centre,” he said.

“Across race days, we have all-inclusive packages, fit for any party, as well as a relaxed trackside area.

“Our all-inclusive package includes a beautiful two-course meal, designed by our executive chef Deepak, with a five-hour beverage package.”

Besides race days, Thoroughbred Park offers a variety of options, ranging from weddings to private events, conference packages and more. The venue’s largest indoor space can cater for up to 2000 guests.

“There’s also an opportunity for people to come in, have a drink, listen to some live music and just enjoy the atmosphere at the racetrack. All our race days over summer are free entry for all.”

Robbie said there were three race days at Thoroughbred Park between now and the end of the year open for bookings: the Corkhill Bros Pegasus Charity Race Day on Friday 25 November, the Christmas Party Race Day on Sunday 11 December and the Holiday Race Day on Friday 30 December.

“General admission is free at all of these race days and packages can easily be purchased directly from our website,” he said.

“We’ve engaged the services of some great local musicians across these meetings who will keep the fun going after the last race.”

The two December meetings will also add some festive family fun with a jumping castle and face painters.
