ACT Policing has arrested a 16-year-old boy following two burglaries at Belconnen businesses this week.
Police will allege between 1.20am and 2.15am on Thursday (January 13), the youth stole cash registers from a Hawker cafe, and a hair salon in Page.
The boy was arrested by Criminal Investigations detectives yesterday afternoon (Friday, January 14), and was charged with two counts of theft, one count of burglary and one count of aggravated burglary. He was also charged with one count of possess prohibited substance.
He will face the ACT Children’s Court this morning (Saturday, January 15), where bail will be opposed by police.
