Last night Labor’s Yvette Berry (Ginninderra) took a swing at our candidate challenge for the 2012 election.

Having gotten in at the donor stage Yvetee nominated the Ginninderra Labor Club in Charnwood and we were consigned to a basement which bore a stunning resemblance to my childhood Dr Who induced nightmares (with the added horror of no mobile access, but the bonus that at least the audio comes through nicely).

Yvette’s priorities included: Dog parks, community gardens, playgrounds, community parks, boat ship thing, a man with an axe on his head, fire rescue centres, and metaphysical flights of the imagination.

But don’t take my word for it, she explains all in the video.

The next one, completing a Labor triple before we hit a Green patch, is Meegan Fitzharris (Labor for Molonglo) at Siren in Gungahlin from 6.30pm on Tuesday 27 August.

(Candidates who haven’t slotted themselves in are advised that there will be no candidate challenges after 28 September and we need a week’s notice, so they better get in quick, and should email john@the-riotact.com )

Here’s our nifty calendar, you the public are reminded that you’re very welcome to come along to these things:

Pleased to see a Disney Princess being used in all her glory. I hope one woman candidate does a build somewhere nearer than Charnwood or Gungahlin. (Nearer to me that is.) I’m keen, but not that keen.

Tempted to say I think her kids did as good, if not better, at lego building than her own efforts lol, overall I am no that wowed by her presentation though, im starting to think politicians aren’t very good with lego actually, hope to see some better showings before this is done.

We are still waiting for a candidate with the stamina to go the full three hours.
