The Canberra Times has the disappointing news that the formerly recently beloved Lake George Zebras are now engaged in a tacky promotion to sell more dead trees with new printed on it:

The four life-sized sculptures will soon be on display again, but instead of being surrounded by a vast dry lake bed, they will be featured among the famous flower beds of Floriade.

And, if all goes according to plan, they will be welcoming a new addition to their family a zebra foal…

For more on this story, including details of our competition to name the baby zebra, see the print edition of today’s Canberra Times.

For shame Zebras! Shame!

i’d really like to see them back out on lake george to be honest. Its a shame they were vandalised :/

“And, if all goes according to plan, they will be welcoming a new addition to their family a zebra foal…”

Is that what they are doing with the head of the decapitated horse?
