Zed and Brendan read the paper

Some signs of activity from our moribund opposition. In response to two stories in the paper they’ve had this to say:

    1. Brendan Smyth says the economy is a bit of a worry. He looks forward to reading more about it when the mid-year budget review gets done. Interestingly someone in Liberal HQ appears to have given up on trying to get his name right.

    2. Meanwhile, Zed is worried about climate change and wants to do something about it. One wonders what other bandwagons he shall leap so adroitly upon but I look forward to seeing him at the Parliament House rally holding hands with the other protesters.

I suspect it is not Liberal HQ’s fault. In the past press releases were uploaded from MLA’s offices (with a logon code)to the Canberra Libs website. I assume it was a typo not picked up in the MLA’s office (albeit a bad one). Those of us who are very familiar with the Assembly know that Brendan is hard working. Zed is the one who should be under the Liberal microscope. He delivered a very poor electoral outcome. He will be returning to his old ways…cruising ..but being on a salary of over $185K a year, that isn’t good enough.

p1, go watch “Rats In The Ranks”, then tell me a town council is what we need again.

Especially in a town council where they all should be working for their money, not “opposing”.

media releases are at least transparent.

They’re preferable to the corruption of preferential media deals or thinking that a daily 5 minute chat to the WIN reporter on Canberra is communicating with the public.

But late comment on passing issues is no substitute to driving the news agenda themselves.

It would be nice to have an Opposition that did more than hide behind media releases.

Very disapt to see Zed jumping on the climate change bandwagon. He should have come straight out against it to give those of us who do not believe in this bumph someone to support, a la Barnaby.

They just gave the attention his name deserves.

Drive n text UB nxt!!!!

It’s to connect with the texting members of Gen Y. It was supposed to be Brndn Smth, but baby steps I suppose…

I have to admit that really isn’t up to scratch. He’s Shadow Treasurer for crying out loud so HQ could at least get Brandan Smyth’s name right.
