Liberal Heart-Throb, Zed Seselja, has been to the movies and has put out a media release expressing his displeasure at the Land Development Authority’s brand building ads gamboling amongst the trailers. (is it a figment of my imagination, or have they been on TV too?)

Zed finds this particularly vexing as last year the LDA promised him in committee hearings that they wouldn’t be doing exactly this.

“The LDA already has a monopoly on land release in Canberra, if investors want to buy land they have to deal with them. So for the Government to turn around and waste taxpayers’ money branding an organisation that it doesn’t need to, is ludicrous.

Well, maybe the LDA feels it needs to justify it’s budget by explaining what it does?

hang on, while they may be the only people who release greenfields land they aren’t the only land development people, so if consumers want to buy they do have a choice between using them and using someone else.

They’ve just mailled out a glossy propaganda magazine too, covering various ACT govt achievements..
Not the actions of a govt going broke.
