ACT Liberal Leader Zed Seselja has reshuffled his front bench according to ABC online.

It reports “Opposition Leader Zed Seselja takes on education and housing affordability, Deputy leader Brendan Smyth will be responsible for police while Vicki Dunne will take over the climate change, environment and water portfolios. Jacqui Burke retains health.”

Will Smyth borrow Pratt’s paint and roller and clean up graffiti and other ‘artwork’ around the joint?

It’s a start ….

Might get a better quality of candidate for the Libs. After all, plenty of ex-staffers out of work and some of them have got to be better quality than the dross they stand for election to the assembly.

On the other hand, now any ALP hack with talent has better jobs to choose from with the Feds – so the quality of their lot in the local council is likely to get worse … if indeed that is possible!

He already is, already has posted, has updated his website and is running for party endorsement in Molongolo.

wot about a “draft troy” facebook group?

Troy* should run for the Legislative Assembly.

*You listening, mate? 🙂

why do u say that mr evil?

I think Troy would make a good local candidate for the ACT Legislative Ass.

Don’t let a New Zealander tell him he’s got a small deck…

I’ll bet my last dollar that smiley-Troy Williams will run for the Assembly in either Ginninderra or Molonglo.

Yep, Burke is an embarrassment. She looks horrible as well.

Don’t mind Barr and Porter too much but McDonald, Hargreaves, Gentleman and Berry are duds! Stanhope is a wannabe Marxist despot from a forgotten era.

On the Liberal side, Zed looks good but is a bit lazy and wet behind the ears while Big Bill is harmless but ineffectual. But child-like Smyth, Pratt and Burke should be made to retire.

Even better than the bowling incident in Iraq ?

Any video Fletch ?

I’ll never forget a newsclip on tv showing the opening of a new pentecostal church in Tuggeranong a few months ago. There were a few local pollies in the front row for the event, including Stan, Barr, Smyth, Pratt and Burke. It was sing-song time, and Jacqui Burke took it upon herself to jump around, dance and clap like she’d taken 4 eccies on new year’s eve. It was the most undignified and silly-looking thing I’ve ever seen a politician do. She is a f&cking clown.

… as well as having no picture cards in a poker game.

Must be really depressing to shuffle with so few cards in the deck.

Troy W is the Federal candidate for Fraser.

is troy williams standing in belco (wotever the seat is called) or molonglo? I forget which one people were suggesting.

Crikey – I agree about the ALP embarrassments and duds. So many – Berry (opinions might vary, but I think he’s a dud), Porter, McDonald, Hargreaves, Gentleman (no doubts on any of them), Corbell (has done things, but mostly wrong).

In fact, a Coalition of Utter Duds would have a significant majority, especially as Ms Foskey would be a shoo-in.

Pratt, Burke and Smyth (Smurf) are political embarrassments. Labor has plenty too. The Liberals will never be an effective Opposition or Government with people like Pratt, Burke and Smyth in their ranks.

If one picks up a scoopful of various kinds of crud, blends it for an hour and serves it with a nice press conference, it is still crud. Mulcahy was as close to a politician as they had, and he jumped and was pushed at the same time. Zed is a poster boy for nothing at all; he, Burke and Pratt are three of the most aptly named politicians in the country. Vicki Dunne and Jackie Burke – say no more. Brendan Smyth had the leadership in a lowgrade party of not very many and got ditched – before attempting to get under Kyle Sandiland’s guard – and failing. Stefaniak recognised that he was …. a bit limited and bailed after his turn as leader.

The only appropriate shadow distribution would be to make the members of this bunch each a spokesperson on (a) being stupid, (b) being opportunistically stupid, (c) idiot stunts, (d) political kamikaze and (e) utter irrelevance.

The ALP is not much better, but has one grownup (Stanhope) and a couple (Barr/Gallagher) with some promise.
