Liberal Leader Zed Seselja has made his reply to the 2009 ACT Budget.
In a million years or so, long after we are all dust, the slovenly ACT hansard service will report his words to the giant lizard-men who will then rule the world.
In the meantime Zed has produced some highlights of which making life easier for property developers is his first order of business, followed by a desire to “plan a better Canberra”.
He’s also promising an “Infrastructure Canberra” plan (which will apparently be a slash and burn of development regulation, see point one).
There’s also mention of a future “Concept Plan” revolving around more people living in the city centres.
Zed has a bit of a pop at the planned long-haul deficits and then finishes thusly:
- “We, on the other hand, have plans for sensible savings, as well as plans for better infrastructure delivery, streamlined planning, less red tape, more front line resources, and better delivery of services in health and education,”
