Word on the street is that no-one eats at that sweatshop anymore. No-one with a conscience anyway.

I hear there is a batch of ATO employment declaration forms that spontaneously combust – something about the glue or ink on the paper and how it reacts with the vapour from cooking garlic? Your employment records are safe so long as they are not brought anywhere near a restaurant…

Ther fire was not that bad, an ACT fire brigade spokesperson said “It was a pizza piss to extinguish”!

May be a lot of jobs in hospitality but it doesn’t help those staff that are on 457 visas

Seems to be a heap of work in hospitality right now. Hopefully they’ll all scoot off and grab Saturday’s CT, tons of kitchen/dining room jobs in that. What a shame the CT doesn’t have a proper online classifieds section!

Which reminds me, allhomes.com now have a jobs bit, in addition to the buy/sell classifieds bit. They have an intro deal of free job listings while it’s being launched and seems quite well subscribed.

Who cares.

I have personally seen the owner treat his staff like they were dogs.

I feel for the staff who are out of work though.

Nobody was injured which is the main thing in my opinion.

Oops, let’s have another go at this. I reckon it was another ploy to avoid paying their workers the full wage.

I reckon it was another ploy to pay their workers the full wage.

First The Cheesecake Shop, then Zeffers. The Dickson mafia strikes again!

They had a spot in WIN news for it, didn’t look to bad, kitchen only.

2UE caught fire today too, while Don Burke was DJ-ing apparently. (typical that a sydney radio station on fire is in our local official media, but not a local restaurant!).

Fire Brigade saying there was a gas leak in the kitchen. The fire started while the restaurant was closed (luckily) not sure how bad the damage is yet cause we’re not allowed inside as the air pollution levels are too high. So far looks like it was just contained to the kitchen. The Fire Brigade did an awesome job!, got there quick and put it out before it spread too far.

huge plume of smoke, 3 firetrucks and police blocking off wooley st. didn’t seem to be there for that long…
