Zootopia - The zoo to expand

The Canberra Times reports that after four long years the Zoo and Aquarium has been given the green light to expand across the road and create Australia’s first open range zoo in an urban area.

“Mr Tindale said it would take 18 months to turn the pine land into a savannah for giraffes, cheetahs, antelopes and zebras.

Sadly I suspect the cheetahs and antelopes won’t be in the same enclosure.

But just imagine if they were? They could televise it on channel vision and hook it into online betting exchanges, we’d all be rich I tells you!

Canberra’s own version of Jumanji! I miss hunting on the open plains in the Veltland.

it can’t go across that road.
the TREE FARM is going there.
Won’t somebody please think of the TREE FARM

It will add new meaning to going spotlighting I’m sure…

Dunno, I recall hearing it somewhere once, happy to stand corrected.

Where do you get the idea they’re going “across the road” JB? I thought was on the land adjacent to the existing premises between the river and the Parkway?

Goddamn furries. Ruining everything.

And, slightly OT, but still about critters. Has anyone seen the video on the net about the Disney employees dressed in character practising horizontal folk dancing? (Breaking news on news.com.au)

I’ve always wanted to see Goofy give that goodie-two-shoes Minnie a good porking.

For the thrill of the cheetahs, I hope they include a bicycle lane through it.

Speaking of betting… you could combine JB’s idea of zoo betting with VY’s idea of dole bludger enclosure.

Basically you starve heroin addicted dole bludgers, who are locked uo in the zoo, of heroin. And then put a cap of H in a colleseum type room and watch them fight for it.

You could then do the same for the meth/Ice addicts… and then at the end of the day you pit all the winners of each class against each other.

Now that is entertainment… and would make some good money.

a zoo would be awesome. i would probably go once every couple of years.

Will there be a dole-bludgers enclosure? Not that it’s likely for them to become extinct in the wild any time soon…

I love zoo.

I spent one of the best days of my life at the Nat Z&A

i wonder what wildebeest taste like ?
