Artist Profile: Endrey

If you like: D.D Dumbo, LCD Soundsystem & Hot Chip

With a unique background and passion for learning from all walks of life, Chris Endrey is a fearless artist of many stripes. The charismatic performer founded and fronted Fun Machine and PAINTonPAINT, who achieved cult status through their legendary shows and inter/national tours and airplay.

This path gave him the confidence and experience to focus upon more intimate, contemplative and artistically ambitious works through his dedicated solo project, Endrey. Having received funding for an album, he went to the Hungarian countryside to record with longtime producer friend, Louis Montgomery.

Excitement has been building for this work following a series of sold out headline shows and festival spots, with releases starting in Winter this year. He has supported the Darkness, eaten dinner with Gotye, played four consecutive Woodfords, captained the musos to victory in the Reclink Community Cup, and even played a cabbage festival in Transylvania.

Outside of music, he produces and hosts Canbeurovision, has sold out headline shows at the Melbourne and Sydney Comedy Festivals, given a TED talk on the nature of work in our society, interviewed First Dog On The Moon for the Sydney Writer’s Festival, and written on issues of social justice and cultural advocacy for the national newspapers.

This is an ambitious artist in full bloom and a musician we’re proud to share our society with.
