BDN Lawyers is one of the oldest law firms in Australia, with our longevity and success drawn in equal parts from the expertise of our practitioners and the enduring relationships we form with our clients.
BDN Lawyers as it exists today draws its history from two firms.
The first, Deane & Deane, started practice in Sydney in the early 1850’s. The second, begun by Mr Joe Scrivener, started practice in Queanbeyan in 1861.
The two firms came together in 1923 when Deane & Deane relocated and purchased the Queanbeyan practice.
While variations have been made to the name of the firm, there has always remained a continuity of practice, principles and values unique to a local and community orientated business.
