AMINALS!

Charity, animals, and sausages together at last!

The National Zoo and Aquarium is holding a parker day next month and a whole heap of good charities are going to be putting stuff together to raise funds to do good things.

Did I mention it’s at the zoo?

That’s where the otters are!

Here’s a flyer, check it out!

5:30 – 8:00pm Thursday 5 December
National Zoo and Aquarium Car Park
Visit the inaugural Wildlife and Charity Christmas Markets to do your Christmas shopping with not-for-profit organisations and contribute to the conservation of endangered wildlife!

Canberra’s charities will be holding stalls raising funds for great causes. Enjoy a sausage sizzle or delicious cupcake while wondering around the market stalls in the zoo’s carpark. Feed a brown bear or tiger for $25 (limited number of places so get in early to book a spot). Enjoy the buskers’ music and maybe pat a snake or two… Don’t forget to bring your old mobile phones to be recycled and you could win a great prize (and help save gorillas)!

A wide range of products and information will be available from the stallholders below, such as gorgeous toys, stocking fillers, jewellery, clothes, wildlife adoptions, books, calendars and so much more!

Worthwhile causes, cute animals, festive cheer, sounds great, I’m noting it on my calendar.

I hope the Sun Bear has a food supervisor certificate (I’m sure I bought some raffle tickets off him once).

Just one small thing speaking of food supervisor certificates, am I wrong to be concerned about putting serving food and patting reptiles on the same list?
