Man shot in Florey and taken to hospital in serious condition

A man was shot in his leg in northern Canberra before he was found and taken to hospital in a serious condition.

Police are now calling for information about the incident as they continue their investigations.

Emergency services received a report that a man had been shot in the leg in Florey at about 9:50 pm on Wednesday (12 March), an ACT Policing spokesperson said.

The man was found, with significant injuries to his lower leg, near the intersection of Krefft Street and Eddy Crescent.

Paramedics took him to hospital in a serious condition.

“Any witnesses to the shooting, or anyone with CCTV or dash-cam footage from the area is urged to come forward,” the police spokesperson said.

“Police are also seeking details of a vehicle that was parked on the eastbound side of Krefft Street around the time of the shooting.”
