The Aussie Peace Walk offers you an opportunity to meet new people and have fun as a team, family, or group of co-workers. By wearing something that shows your nationality, you can represent your organisation or heritage. Make new friends, have fun, and enjoy the diversity of our global community. To ensure that no one gets left out, you can choose to walk on Saturday or Sunday if you cannot walk on both days. On Saturday, most events take place on flat ground and are held around the scenic Lake Burley Griffin.
Money raised – from tickets and fundraising – go to Give Every Child a Future 2022. The goal is to vaccinate 100,000 children.

For collectors, the President’s table will feature a wide selection of old and collectable books. In addition to books, you will find jigsaws, games, postcards, vinyl records, DVDs, CDs and recent magazines.
The vast majority of fiction and non-fiction books will be priced at $2.50 and children’s books, DVDs, and CDs are $1.00 each.

The Original ‘Bam Bam’ female Deejay straight outta Jamaica – Sister Nancy returns to Canberra in the intimate setting of Transit Bar. Sister Nancy, aka Muma Nancy, real name Ophlin Russell-Myers, is a dancehall DJ and singer. She is known to the world as the first female dancehall DJ and was described as being a “dominating female voice for over two decades” on the Jamaican music scene. Russell-Myers will perform alongside France’s rub-a-dub band Legal Shot Sound.

Haig Park will once again be the meeting place for dog lovers of all kinds for an afternoon of games, jumps, head pats and (hopefully not too much) barking. Bring your handsome dog to try their skills on the agility course and play with other friendly canines.
