Hosted at Capital Brewery, the first meeting to formalise the start of a new business group for Fyshwick was held on 23 July.

With over 1,000 businesses based in Fyshwick, representing the second-largest economy for Canberra yielding approximately $2.3 billion, the future direction of Fyshwick was considered important by Fyshwick community members.

Rob Evans from local online auctioning site Allbids wanted to create a group for Fyshwick to provide a centralised point for information, ideas and voice for the businesses that operate there.

“There was a very positive turnout for the event. It’s clear that there is an appetite for a collective Fyshwick group so that we can be a voice to help steer the growth and identity of Canberra’s dynamic industrial area,” said Rob.

If you would like further information on the group or to join, contact Rob Evans on rob@allbids.com.au or phone 02 6239 2262.
